Chicago Sky Star Skylar Diggins Lands NCAA Job With Notre Dame Women's Basketball
Notre Dame women’s basketball just made a move involving one of its biggest legends, and here is what it means for the Irish this season. Skylar Diggins, an All-American basketball player who left Notre Dame for the WNBA 13 years ago, has been hired as an outside consultant and Special Advisor to head coach Niele Ivey. She will serve Ivey and her coaching staff as an off-the-field mentor to student-athletes focusing on leadership, personal development, and brand building. Diggins will sit on the Irish bench during games and will advise them off-court, focusing on these three areas. She is expected to stay with the Irish until the Unrivaled season starts in early January before she leaves to join her team. Some believe the move could help recruit talent for the upcoming season.
