Norris Programs hosted the first NU x Chicago Comedy Night event, featuring student comedians and headliners. The event was a collaboration with the School of Education and Social Policy and was held at Luna’s Pub and Grill on Oct. 16. Apple TV-featured comedian Kristen Toomey was the headliner, performing alongside comedians Damon Howard and Brian Hicks. Event host and SESP Prof Sepehr Vakil said it was an opportunity for the University to "get familiar with Chicago artists" and that comedy is an opportunity to connect. Vakill currently produces comedy shows around the Chicago area at venues like Second City and Sketchbook Brewing Co.
