I went to the Immigration Council to obtain the nationality of my wife, who is from a foreign country and is currently graduating from school. I got legal advice and wanted to pay for my lawyer's work and time and brought a list of questions.
As soon as I sat down, I started saying, "I don't know how this process works." I asked him to clarify what I needed, and he said he would give me an immigration permit and he would represent me if something went wrong. His exact words were "I am not here to educate you." He said all this while always understanding my unique situation. He cut me off several times and asked for no help. He said he knew what he was doing, but in the first place he didn't even know the details of why I came to legal advice.
Edward satisfies the stereotype of a greedy and stupid lawyer. Because he was happy to come and pay for legal advice, he was likely to be used for future immigration inquiries and documents. Instead, I filled in the immigration office that I wanted instead of my wife and sent it, saying, "If something happens, he will represent me." I wanted to get advice on how to find a path that would suit my own unique situation so that both my wife and my wife won't get lost.
This is the worst experience with a lawyer, everyone avoids and asks for advice on other immigration laws.
