Marisol entered the Illinois bar in November 2009.
Before the law came into effect, he was a volunteer lawyer for the non-profit organization Lifespan in Chicago, who helped victims of domestic violence applying for protection of women under the Violence Law (VAWA) and U-visa.
In March 2017, Marisole established the Gallegos Act.
Marisole is a member of the United States Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
Marisol worked for the Junior Board of the Latin Progressive Sand from 2011 to 2013.
She is a daughter of immigrants who understands the difficulties facing immigrant communities as they navigate American immigration laws.
Marisol speaks fluent Spanish.
