I like James and I am sure he is a good lawyer if he focuses on your case and money doesn't matter. This review is about his pricing structure.  I was in need of a lawyer in a hurry to represent me and answer in the ban case.  James answered at once when another lawyer told him that I was very grateful.  He didn't ask me to sign the contract of the retainer, but as the retainer, he hurried to charge my credit card 5k. 5k looks pretty standard, 5k seems to last for a while, and has made some progress in this case.  However, he answered and said that after three months of setting the date, the 5k retainer was exhausted.  And he said that in criminal cases, not on a hourly basis, but on a commission basis.   5,000 dollars to answer is simply unfair and too much money.  If James had made this clear from the beginning, I would never have gone with him, and would have gone with another lawyer instead.  Since then, I have hired another lawyer. Then, thinking that their claims are more fair, we move on.  James himself was very distracted and kept asking the same question over and over.  I asked him to repay a small amount of his retainer and helped him pass it to the new lawyer, but he refused, saying he had no more money.  I'm sorry to leave Elip with one star, but I would like other customers to read it before giving me a credit card.  I'm going to write a review on the other lawyers' review site.   Keep the buyer wary.

James Shapiro is an avid lawyer who will fight till he wins. We have seen him at the highest level of court, and we must say we made a great choice to use him. I'll definitely recommend him as a lawyer!

I had never used a lawyer before, but Jamie was amazing.  Jamie's efforts towards us were amazing.  We witnessed great anxiety and emotion that helped Jamie get through the difficult times.  He is always available on the phone and in writing.  After all, I felt very happy when I found Jamie.  He showed real concern about our situation.  I still have the opportunity to talk with the consul. He has also given other families the opportunity to discuss the incident.  I've come to regard Jamie as a member of my family.  I strongly recommend his efforts.
