Bad weather continues to hamper spring sports season

A number of local games have been postponed to later dates due to inclement weather The weather has caused a significant disruption to spring sports in Branch County, delaying several events, including a softball doubleheader between Bronson and Coldwater. Quincy was set to host Hanover-Horton in a baseball doubleheader, which has since been rescheduled for Saturday at noon, while the junior varsity twin bill at Hanover Horton was postponed until April 26. The Quincy Orioles' golf season was also delayed until April 22, while Bronson's home tennis match against Pennfield was changed to May 10.

BRANCH COUNTY – The wild weather continues to wreak havoc with the opening of spring sports here in Branch County, as every event scheduled for Thursday night has been postponed.

Two local teams were set to battle on the softball diamond as Bronson was set to host Coldwater in a doubleheader, however the wet and windy conditions moved the game to April 26.

Quincy was scheduled to host Hanover-Horton in a baseball doubleheader, which has since been rescheduled for Saturday at noon, while the junior varsity twin bill at Hanover Horton was postponed until April 26.

Quincy softball was also set to host Hanover Horton, however that doubleheader has been changed to May 28.

The Quincy Orioles were also slated to start their golf season with a trip to Comstock, however that event was postponed until April 22 while Bronson’s home tennis match versus Pennfield was changed to May 10.
