Walk For The Bear Brings Halloween Fun, Cancer Support To Busse Woods
The event includes one-and two-mile walks, trick-or-treating and family activities benefiting children and families facing pediatric cancer. The annual Walk For The Bear will take place on Oct. 25 at Grove 5 in Elk Grove Village. Participants can choose a one- or two-mile route, with trick-or-treating along the route. The event will also feature costumes, face painting, pumpkin decorating, a bounce house and hands-on activities from Kohl Children’s Museum. Registration costs $25 and participants can participate at no cost. The walk raises awareness and support for Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation programs, which provide personalized experiences, counseling, scholarships and practical assistance. Children and families affected by pediatric cancer are expected to participate.
