Cat distribution system strikes at O'Hare Airport, leading man to fly home with kitten
A missed connection at O'Hare turned into an airport adoption when the 'cat distribution system' struck during a traveler's smoke break. Minnesota native Virgil Wiebe was waiting for a flight at O'Hare Airport when a cat distribution system struck, leading him to fly home with a kitten. The three-week-old kitten, named Macanudo O'Harare by Wieben, was found in a park outside Terminal 1 and came running up to him. Wieb used DoorDash to deliver a kennel and formula, while United Airlines booked another passenger on the flight home. Weebe was charged $150 for the cat ticket. It is unclear how the kitten found its way to the airport, but Wiebi has kept it in his home.
