The Shreveport Regional Airport is offering daily nonstop flights to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport for the first time in 18 years. The new United Airlines service began Sunday and the first flight was nearly full. The once-daily flight leaves from Shreveporport between 7:00 AM and 9:00am and takes about two hours to arrive at O’Hare. The airport spokesperson, Mark Crawford, stated that the daily flight could offer an opportunity to over 220 cities from Chicago, including 47 international destinations. If demand increases, a second daily flight may be added.
