CHICAGO (WTVO) — Adam King, a Chicago veterinarian, was in court on April 4th facing multiple charges, including distributing child pornography.

King, 39, worked for a clinic in Avondale as an animal eye specialist and was a dog show judge, according to FOX32. The American Kennel Club revoked his judging privileges soon after the accusations.

The suspect was accused of sending multiple videos of children being sexually abused on an encrypted messaging service known as Telegram as a result of an FBI investigation.

King also said in messages on Telegram that he had plans to sexually abuse his unborn child, according to the FBI investigation. The suspect and his husband are expecting the child through a surrogate.

The suspect’s attorneys have entered a “not guilty” plea in court Thursday.

“The press nor the public should jump to any conclusions. Mr. King pled Not Guilty because he is in fact, Not Guilty,” said one of King’s attorneys. “He is committed to fighting these charges until his name is cleared. We look forward to a swift trial where the facts will demonstrate Mr. King’s innocence and that he has been wrongfully accused.”

King is expected to be in court next month.
