Park Ridge couple star in Iron & Wine video

The retired CPS teacher says she and her husband were in the right place at the right time. Park Ridge couple Debbie and Michael Maggio have been featured in the latest music video for Iron & Wine's song "All in Good Time," featuring Fiona Apple. The video, which showcases their dance moves and the historic Pickwick Theatre, was directed by Howard Greynolds and Jamie Fleischel, who live in the Norwood Park/Park Ridge area. The couple play a long-married couple who run the Pickwick, before being transformed into glamorous dancers. Debbie, a retired CPS special education teacher, expressed surprise at the discovery of the song and suggested it might be played at their 50th anniversary party later this year.

Park Ridge couple Debbie and Michael Maggio star in the newest music video for Iron & Wine's song "All in Good Time," featuring Fiona Apple. Why it matters: The video for the sentimental love song showcases the smooth dance moves of the couple, but also the beauty of the Northwest suburb's historic Pickwick Theatre.

Backstory: The videos' producer and director Howard Greynolds and Jamie Fleischel live in the Norwood Park/Park Ridge area.

What they're saying: "The producers came to the Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Park Ridge where we take classes and they wanted dancers who could act," Debbie, a retired CPS special education teacher, tells Axios.

• "I guess we were in the right place at the right time."

Zoom in: The Maggios play a long-married couple who run the Pickwick, selling popcorn and sweeping up the theater.

• But then they're transformed into glamorous dancers wearing fancy duds and waltzing through the theater's Art Deco lobby to young customers' disbelief.

The intrigue: Debbie said she'd never heard of Iron & Wine before the video shoot.

• "I'm from the '60s so my favorite music comes from the Beach Boys," she says. "But we have heard from a lot of people who have seen the video on Facebook."

What's next: The song seems tailor made for anniversary celebrations. So we asked if the Maggios will play it at their 50th anniversary party later this year.

• "We just may," Debbie says.
