Connor Bedard skates before Chicago Blackhawks practice for 1st time since injuring his shoulder
Connor Bedard was able to get in some work before the Chicago Blackhawks practiced Monday. It’s a good sign for the center, who’s dealing with a shoulder injury. Chicago Blackhawks center Connor Bedard has been in uniform since December 12 after suffering a right shoulder injury. This is his first practice since the injury, and his coach, Jeff Blashill, stated that his skating is a good sign. The team has been struggling in the absence of Bedard, losing 1-6-0 in the seven games he has missed and being outscored 30-15 in that period. The injury occurred during a "freak accident" during a road loss to St. Louis. Captain Nick Foligno also returned to practice after playing his first game since Nov. 15, and Frank Nazar was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 20.
