Chicago Blackhawks fall 4-1 — their 7th loss in 10 games — leaving them frustrated and searching for answers
The Chicago Blackhawks had higher expectations for the season, but after a 4-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Friday left them at 3-7-0, they have more questions than answers. Chicago Blackhawks lost 4-1 to the Montreal Canadiens, marking their seventh loss in 10 games. The loss raises questions about the team's identity. The team's second period was poor, with the Canadiens capitalising on their mistakes. The Hawks are now 2-3-0 on their seven-game homestand, with Florida Panthers and Los Angeles Kings remaining. Despite an entertaining first period, the game ended in a 4-0 lead with goals from Jake Evans, Kaiden Guhle, and Mike Matheson. The losses leave the team with questions about their ability to maintain their strong first periods, followed by poor second and third periods.
