Last question on the application form: "You are suffering from obstacles; b. Disgraced dismissal c. Openly cheerful." The interview was a farce. The director of the Kansas City-based law firm, "Human Resources," faced me during an interview, and I knew that my parents met directly with a person who voted for Richard Nixon in 1960, 1968, and 1972. It was typical of her to try to take me up. After years of experience, I realized myself that I was the wrong gender I applied for as a legal secretary. Are law firms not familiar with chapter VI? The legal profession is conservative, especially the narrow-minded women who adopt it. Quoting Leona Helmsley in the 80s, he said, "I can't fool you. I know the difference." In Illinois, you can always distinguish between Nixon and those who are not familiar with legally protected rights.
